The School Site Council (SSC) shall be composed of the principal and representatives of: teachers; other school personnel; and parents of students attending the school. membership will be determined by ballot or in an open meeting by voice vote. 
 
Officer Roles:
  • Chairperson - organizes, convenes, and leads meetings of the SSC
  • Vice Chairperson - serves in the absence of Chairperson
  • Secretary - records actions taken and keeps school site council records
  • Parliamentarian - resolves questions of procedure, often with the help of Robert's Rules of Order or similar guide
  • Other officers as needed

The SSC will be involved in the development, implementation, and modification of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Committees will also be formed such as the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), and others committees as needed. These committees will be responsible for advising the school on the special needs of students and on ways the school may meet those needs.
